Royal Highland Fusiliers Museum, 518 Sauchiehall Street
See and explore the military life and history of today’s Regiment, combining Glasgow’s famous Highland Light Infantry and the Royal Scots Fusiliers of Ayrshire and Glasgow, first starting as volunteer corps. From 1678 to the present day in all parts of the globe. Follow them soldiering around the world, including the great wars of WWI and WWII, and campaigns of today.
Among many themes on display, witness the 71st and 74th of Foot in the Peninsula Campaign and Waterloo 1807-1815. A chance to view a rare collection of Military General Service and Waterloo medals, letters, pictures and other memorabilia from the Peninsula War.
Guided Tours of the Museum can be joined on Saturday 3rd May and Saturday 17th May,
12 noon – 2pm
Children’s scavenger hunt and uniform dress-up with photo ops on Saturday 3rd May and Saturday 17th May, 11.30am -2.30pm.
The RHF Museum ground floor is on street level, upper floors access by stairs.
