The National Piping Centre, top of Hope Street
Join our Piper Host for a very special tour during the Blythswood Festival, with tours running at 12 noon on Fridays and Saturdays through the festival, and across the summer.
You will be welcomed to The National Piping Centre at the top of Hope Street by our piper who will play outside the building, then head inside for a visit to the Museum of Piping to learn more about 300 years of piping history and finally visitors will have a truly authentic Scottish experience of playing the bagpipes, starting with the practice chanter – the starting instrument for the pipes – where you will learn the basics, then for those brave enough to try the Great Highland Bagpipe you can get hands on with a real set – but don’t worry our piper will be on hand to show you how it’s done!
